Scientific Games, in collaboration with UK-based Pixiu Gaming, will launch lottery games based on the iconic Hasbro brands Battleship and Monopoly. This follows a recently secured exclusive licensing agreement with Hasbro granting Scientific Games the rights to develop these games.
The new titles will be available on Scientific Games’ SG Content Hub. Pixiu Gaming co-founder, Tony Plaskow, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating a commitment to creating engaging and brand-aligned iLottery experiences for both Monopoly and Battleship.
This collaboration is part of a broader trend. Recent months have seen a surge in licensing agreements bringing popular board games into the gambling industry. Hasbro itself announced multiple such deals earlier this year, mirroring similar moves by other companies like Mattel with its Uno-branded social club.
The financial success of Monopoly-themed lottery games is noteworthy. In 2025, 33 lotteries globally offered Monopoly-branded products, generating over $2 billion in combined retail and digital revenue. This success is further underscored by the upcoming film adaptation of Monopoly, produced by Margot Robbie.
Scientific Games, servicing 150 lotteries across 50 countries, leverages its extensive portfolio of over 100 licensed brands—including other Hasbro properties such as Yahtzee and The Game of Life—often partnering with developers to expand its offerings. Pixiu Gaming, specializing in Keno games and operating in Canadian, US, and European markets, brings its unique game development expertise to this project.
Matt Lynch, President, Digital at Scientific Games, highlighted Pixiu Gaming’s distinctive approach to game development, emphasizing that their contribution will enrich iLottery portfolios, both by enhancing existing player engagement and attracting new players with novel game experiences.
