The Rank Group significantly surpassed its fundraising target for Carers Trust, accumulating over £400,000 (approximately $536,193) between July 2024 and June 2025. This exceeded their initial goal of £351,000.
This impressive sum was generated through a variety of fundraising activities undertaken by employees. These included participation in marathons (London and Chester), cycling events, challenging obstacle courses, and even head-shaving initiatives.
The substantial donation will be allocated to approximately 130 local carer organizations, providing crucial support to unpaid carers. Funds will be used to facilitate respite breaks and provide grants for essential household items. Furthermore, Rank employees volunteered their time wrapping Christmas presents for members of the Carers Trust network in December.
Mark Harper, Grosvenor’s Managing Director, shared his experience of serving on the Carers Trust Grant panel. He described the experience as both humbling and uplifting, highlighting the significant challenges faced by carers while acknowledging their selfless dedication. He expressed pride in the collective efforts of the company’s employees and customers in supporting this vital charity.
Since the partnership commenced in 2014, Rank has contributed over £4 million to Carers Trust, impacting more than 15,000 carers. Kirsty McHugh, CEO of Carers Trust, expressed profound gratitude for Rank’s ongoing commitment, emphasizing the lifeline this support provides to thousands of individuals caring for loved ones, often at considerable personal cost. She underscored the growing importance of such assistance as more people assume caring responsibilities.
Beyond its philanthropic endeavors, The Rank Group anticipates strong financial performance, projecting £63 million in operating profit following an 11% increase in revenue for fiscal year 2025.
