Yggdrasil Gaming has secured a significant foothold in Lebanon’s iGaming sector through a content agreement with BetArabia. BetArabia, the online gambling arm of Casino Du Liban, holds the sole license for online casino operations in the country, granted by the Lebanese Ministry of Finance in 2022.
This partnership grants BetArabia access to Yggdrasil’s comprehensive game library. This includes Yggdrasil’s internally developed titles, featuring popular franchises such as Vikings and Golden Fish Tank. Furthermore, the agreement extends to games from Yggdrasil’s thirteen YG Masters program partners, significantly broadening BetArabia’s game selection.
The deal represents a strategic expansion for Yggdrasil into a new regulated market, building on its existing success in Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This follows a pattern of strategic partnerships designed to solidify Yggdrasil’s global reach.
Jose Kadala, Yggdrasil’s Commercial Director, expressed enthusiasm about entering the Lebanese market, highlighting the proven appeal of Yggdrasil’s games worldwide and expressing confidence in their success within the growing MENA region.
Tigran Geghamyan, BetArabia’s COO, described the collaboration as setting a new benchmark for the Lebanese iGaming industry. He emphasized the synergistic combination of Yggdrasil’s high-quality games and BetArabia’s deep understanding of the local market, promising a unique player experience.
It is noteworthy that BetArabia enjoys exclusive rights for both online casino gaming and sports betting in Lebanon, a monopoly secured through its 2022 licensing agreement with the Lebanese Ministry of Finance.
