Koin significantly bolstered its executive team with the appointment of Ted Saxman as Vice President of Operations, effective July 15th. This strategic addition comes amidst a period of considerable growth for the digital payments infrastructure company.
Mr. Saxman brings over two decades of expertise in strategic project management, IT operations, and cross-functional leadership to his new role. His extensive background includes senior leadership positions in both IT and finance at prominent organizations such as Boyd Gaming and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Koin’s Chief Operating Officer, Bob Woodbury, commented on the appointment, stating that Saxman’s proven success and results-oriented leadership make him an invaluable asset to the executive team. Woodbury emphasized that Saxman’s proficiency in developing operational structures and executing strategic initiatives will be crucial in driving Koin’s continued advancement.
Saxman’s responsibilities will encompass overseeing daily operations, managing project implementation, and spearheading internal process optimization across the entire company. His appointment coincides with Koin’s preparations for the Global Gaming Expo in October, where the company will actively participate in discussions on the future of digital payments.
This leadership expansion follows the September 2024 promotion of Tiffany McGrath to Vice President of Corporate Communications. McGrath, who joined Koin in 2023, has played a pivotal role in the company’s brand development, strategic communications, and partnership initiatives within the digital payments industry. Her contributions have been widely praised, with Koin President Gary Larkin previously describing her as a “dynamic, highly skilled marketing expert instrumental in our company’s success.”
Further supporting Koin’s growth is a strengthened financial position. In December 2023, the company received increased investment from Euronet Worldwide, fueling expansion and market penetration. This infusion of capital, coupled with Saxman’s operational leadership, positions Koin for continued expansion within the casino payments and fintech sectors.
